Description
- Observing animals and knowing what their behaviors mean and signals they use
- Maintaining gates and fences, latches and equipment so that all is working and in good condition to keep animals inside and safe
- Utilizing caution and procedures to move animals.
- Providing food and water to animals according to care plans
- Cleaning the kennels and common areas
- Taking animals for walks and playing with them for enrichment or shifting them into different pens for enrichment
- Observing animals and noting any concerns with their behaviors or health
- Grooming and bathing the animals
- Administering medications or treatments to animals as directed by a Veterinarian
- Greeting customers, processing transactions and answering phone calls
- Documenting all care provided and any incidents that occur
