    Description

    Education, training & employment volunteer

Stop Child Abuse (SCA) is seeking a dedicated Education, Training, and Employment Volunteer to support our initiatives focused on providing refugees with relevant and adaptable professional education and training. Refugees face significant challenges in accessing quality education that meets their aspirations and aligns with the needs of society and businesses.

The host country must ensure their rights to education, equal to those of their Kenyan counterparts.

Our support in the education sector prioritizes technical and vocational education and training (TVET), vital for developing a qualified workforce.

We place special emphasis on gender equality within our education projects, ensuring that all individuals have equal access to training opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of technical and vocational training programs tailored to the needs of refugees.
    • Support initiatives that promote gender equality in education and training.
    • Collaborate with local stakeholders to align training programs with the job market and community needs.
    • Facilitate workshops and mentoring sessions to enhance employability skills among refugees.

In addition, we draw inspiration from successful initiatives like the SCA Foundation’s work in Congo and Kenya, which provide safe spaces, scholarships, and youth forums for marginalized groups. If you are passionate about empowering refugees through education and training, we encourage you to apply and join our mission.
