The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum celebrates Earth and cultivates critical thinking through research, education, and dynamic exhibits – all designed to inspire curiosity about Maine’s geologic history and our planet’s place in the solar system.

The Maine Mineral and Gem Museum showcases our geological history, displays renown mineral and rock collections, provides educational opportunities for the novice and expert alike, conducts historical and geological research and is a Maine travel destination for residents and visitors. We also house the largest collection of meteorites in New England!
