Sarah's Inn

Sarah’s Inn, located in Oak Park, Illinois, was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1981, and has been providing domestic violence services to 22 near west suburban communities and the Austin community on the west side of Chicago for over 30 years. The near west suburbs include: Bellwood, Berkeley, Berwyn, Broadview, Brookfield, Cicero, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, Franklin Park, Hillside, LaGrange Park, Maywood, Melrose Park, Northlake, North Riverside, Oak Park, Riverside, River Forest, River Grove, Schiller Park, Stone Park and Westchester.

The mission of Sarah's Inn is to improve the lives of those affected by domestic violence and to break the cycle of violence for future generations. Together with our network of supporters, volunteers and partners, we accomplish our mission through:

• comprehensive services for families so that they get the support they need to find safety, rebuild their lives and heal;
• legal and intervention services to help ensure protection for victims under the law, as well as offender accountability and education;
• violence prevention programs that educate children and adolescents about how to cultivate healthy relationships; and
• education and training to promote an appropriate community response to violence.

Our vision is to be a nationally recognized leader for community-based solutions that will end relationship violence.
