Foundation for Louisiana

  • About Us

Foundation for Louisiana (FFL) invests in people and practices that work to reduce vulnerability and build stronger, more sustainable communities statewide. FFL was originally established as Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation (LDRF) in 2005, in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, to address immediate needs while purposefully targeting investments to address long-standing challenges of inequity and disinvestment. In 2011, LDRF transitioned to Foundation for Louisiana to meet changing needs and new opportunities. As Foundation for Louisiana, our committed board and staff continue to work toward fundamental goals of greater equity and inclusion; increased economic opportunity; stronger communities; and a more resilient Louisiana.
