Mind the Gap, Inc.

The core mission of Mind the Gap is to empower private political donors to strengthen our democracy by providing them with evidence-based guidance on the electoral strategies, tactics, and programs that are likely to achieve the greatest impact in a given election cycle. Drawing on rigorous research conducted over multiple elections, Mind the Gap uses quantifiable metrics to vet and compare promising programs and to direct donors to the organizations and tactics most likely to increase the probability of Democratic victory in key races. 

In just two and a half years, Mind the Gap has achieved remarkable success, building a highly engaged donor network of more than 2200 people who have invested in our recommended programs and campaigns, with significant and demonstrable results. 

Together with its sister organization, MTG Research, Mind that Gap's broader mission includes: 1) evaluating and advancing longer-term evidence-based electoral interventions, 2) improving the evidence-based infrastructure across the progressive ecosystem, and 3) educating new and established political investors on the most cost-effective strategies and tactics that good science indicates will drive voting behavior and influence the outcome of critical elections.
