The George and Tanya Ruff Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) is the only organization with a singular focus on ending global homelessness by bridging the gap between research, policy and practice.
Our work in fourteen countries across six continents has positively impacted thousands of people experiencing homelessness. IGH is uniquely positioned to deliver solutions to an international crisis that affects all our communities, by engaging a broad network of world-class advisors, experts and organizations that bridge diverging geographies, cultures, and perspectives.

Founded in 2014, IGH is hosted at DePaul University in Chicago. IGH brings a practical and clear perspective to addressing homelessness. We “see it, solve it and share it” by championing definition, measurement, concrete actions and knowledge sharing—all in service of preventing and reducing homelessness in cities around the world.
