Community Action of Ventura County

Our mission statement is "Helping our community establish pathways out of poverty through

advocacy, partnerships, and services that promote dignity and self-sufficiency". From the

beginning, CAVC has worked to establish services and

partnerships to address poverty, social justice and economic

development -- but it has evolved into much more. Our goal is to

increase self-sufficiency among our county's poorest residents and

increase family and community economic stability

Community Action of Ventura County, Inc. has dedicated employees, community board

members and volunteers who are involved in providing services in the areas of housing,

food, employment, homelessness and youth. Community Action actively participates in

coalitions, commissions and other public forums dedicated to ensuring a safety net of basic services

is accessible throughout Ventura County.
