    San Diego County Office of Education PASS (Promoting Achievement and Student Success) AmeriCorps Program. PASS is a mentoring and leadership program for at-risk youth in gang impacted neighborhoods at various school sites in San Diego County for youth grades 3-12.  In collaboration with the school, PASS focuses on improving academics, behavior and attendance through character development, academic support, and opportunities for positive school and community engagement. Program goals are designed to engage participating students in meaningful mentoring relationships that help them realize their dreams through experiencing academic success, making healthy choices, and developing positive leadership roles at school and in the community. PASS AmeriCorps strives to empower youth to reach their fullest potential and become positive leaders.
