    The Oceanographic Teaching Stations, Inc., the non-profit organization that manages the Roundhouse Aquarium at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, was established in 1979 to promote the study of the oceans, tidelands, and beaches of Southern California through hands-on interactive experiences with marine life and habitats, and to inspire all generations to become good stewards of our environment.
