Founded in 1988, My Friend's Place began as a volunteer-led, mobile meal program that distributed sack lunches to homeless youth in Hollywood once per week. Today, My Friend's Place offers a broad continuum of care that encompasses basic needs, education and employment opportunities, and health and well-being services utilizing a trauma informed lens. My Friend's Place strives to lower traditional barriers to service and provide youth the opportunity to improve their psychological, intellectual, and physical capacity and reach their potential, serving more than 1,400 young people experiencing homelessness each year.
