The GENI Initiative is a global project focused on the premier strategy from Buckminster Fuller's World Game -- the electrical interconnection of power networks between countries and continents with an emphasis on tapping remote renewable energy resources. Essentially a World Wide Web of Electricity tapping the planet's income energy resources. The benefits are tremendous:
- increased trade, cooperation and peace,
- reduced pollution from fossil or nuclear fuels
- reduced hunger and poverty
- stabilized population growth The GRID Initiative has earned the endorsements of Walter Cronkite, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Desmond Tutu, The Dalai Lama and Vicente Fox.
