About Us
The mission of Best Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Currently, Best Buddies Illinois is looking for volunteers for our adult friendship Citizens program. Volunteers are matched in a one-to-one friendship with an adult with mild to moderate intellectual and or developmental disabilities. We also plan group outings every other month for buddy pairs. Events in the past have included White Sox's games, trips to the zoo, Navy Pier Sea Dog rides and more! If being a friend to one who is need sounds fun to you, give us a call!
