Bard Early Colleges

  • About Us

The Bard Early Colleges are a nationally recognized early college network that brings the best of a selective liberal arts college program into public high schools so as to more fully engage students’ full intellectual potential.

Bard Early College is a multi-campus network of Bard College established to provide adolescents in American public school systems with the chance to go farther and faster than the status quo allows. Bard Early College serves approximately 3,000 students at seven degree-granting campuses and a growing number of partnership programs through which students can complete up to one year of college.

Bard College currently partners with public school systems to operate early colleges in New York City, Newark, New Orleans, Cleveland, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. Over 3,000 students attend Bard’s several early college campuses, which have been lauded for their challenging curriculum, passionate teachers and engaged students, and for their success in enabling students from diverse backgrounds to enter and complete top four-year college degree programs with advanced standing.
