  • About Us

About Dignity Best Practices: Serving communities at the intersections of public safety and public health.

We are a non-profit consulting firm that helps local governments launch pilot projects and improve practices to build the right fit response to people in distress. This includes caring for people experiencing a behavioral health crisis, reimagining public safety, and reducing violence and conflict. Our approach is centered in cross-agency working groups that bring together two or more of the following: clinicians, peer specialists, mediators, police, fire, EMS, hospitals, sheriff’s offices, 911 and 988 call centers, and city and county leaders.  Together, we build practices, connections, and collective responsibility towards better outcomes for people experiencing crisis or conflict.
