Leb Bunt e.V. is a German non-profit organization that fosters intercultural exchange and elderly care.

Our Vision

We envision a society where seniors and immigrants are active participants, and where diverse languages, backgrounds, and ages are recognized as valuable resources. Through sustainable relationships built on participation and tolerance, we create an open and inclusive community for all.

Our First Project: Das Hallo Projekt

Das Hallo Projekt, launched in Munich in April 2018, bridges intergenerational and intercultural gaps between senior citizens and immigrants. The project actively combats loneliness in both groups.

Key Activities

1. Group Activities
   • International cultural afternoons, walks, and quiz evenings among others.
   • Purpose: To encourage interaction, exchange ideas, and break down prejudices in a friendly environment. Activities are held in German and scheduled after work hours or on weekends, enabling working immigrants to participate confidently while improving their language skills.
2. Tandem Program
   • Immigrants aiming to enhance their German language skills are paired with seniors who wish to meet new people and practice foreign languages.
   • Pairs are matched based on shared interests, hobbies, and proximity, fostering personal, positive, and lasting connections.
3. Community Events
   • These events help immigrants integrate into the city by exchanging tips, sharing experiences, and forming supportive friendships.
