Our mission is to encourage a culture of daily cleanups and make outdoor volunteering more accessible for everyone.

We started Litter CleanUp in 2020, shortly after the pandemic hit. It began as a simple project to track cleanups among a small group of friends, and quickly grew to a larger network of litter-picker-uppers around the world.

What we've learned through the years is that the simple act of picking up a piece of litter means much more than meets the eye...

It can bring people and teams from opposite ends of the globe together. It can motivate communities to get outside and enjoy nature. It can inspire a family to do community service together. It can provide opportunities for youth who don't have the means to get to traditional volunteer events.

And for many, it is a simple act of hope that we can all contribute to a cleaner and kinder world, together.
