PS Science

The great minds of tomorrow are in elementary schools everywhere, but science is not.  PS Science brings inspiring lessons to classrooms that cultivate a deep understanding of the world and grow students and teachers who are confident and inspired by science.

 PS Science narrows the skill gap for children in under-resourced schools, improving their odds for future academic and career success by providing weekly, hands-on science education. Countless elementary school children do not receive formal science instruction which puts them at a disadvantage in STEM courses when they enter middle and high school. PS Science aims to help all elementary schools provide regular weekly science in all their classrooms, and additional, enriching after-school STEM programming.

Many of California’s elementary schools also struggle to support teachers with science instructional training, curricula and materials. PS Science remedies this by mentoring teachers and providing them with the resources needed to deliver captivating, personally relevant science in their classrooms.
