About Us
DCPEF is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to improving the District of Columbia Public Schools by engaging the business, philanthropic, and school communities in strategic reform initiatives that drive student achievement, including school improvement, principal leadership, teacher development, and student supports. Working closely with the Chancellor and the DCPS senior leadership team, DCPEF develops proposals, manages grants, and supports ongoing relationships with private funders on behalf of DCPS. DCPEF also hosts and participates in public events to raise awareness of, and increase support for, the reform work happening in DCPS.
