    The Indo American Center (IAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that addresses the needs of South Asian immigrants as well as people from more than twenty nations the world over. IAC provides services that facilitate their adjustment, integration, and friendship with the wider society, nurture their sense of community, and foster appreciation for the diversity of culture and heritage.

    Our Programs & Services

    The Indo-American Center’s programs are the heart of our organization. Through our nine main programs, we address the common challenges that our clients face after moving to the United States, including social isolation, limited English and computer skills, and limited knowledge of the resources available to them. We strive to help our clients become empowered and connected through a range of educational programs, resources, and social services.

    -Citizenship & Immigration Services: Assisting clients with citizenship and family-based immigration needs.

    -Adult Literacy Program: Furthering English language learning among adults.

    -Seniors' Program: Promoting socialization & facilitating adjustment to life in the U.S. through workshops & group activities. Providing a free daily lunch for Senior Citizens.

    -Civics Education Courses: Preparation for the U.S. Naturalization Exam & interview. 

    -Public Benefits Program: Facilitating increased access to government benefits for adults.

    -Computer Education: Advancing basic computer literacy in the community.

    -Youth Program: Provides enrichment activities through an After School program that help nurture and develop youth (Grades K-8).

    -Workforce Development Program: Establishing job-readiness skills & literacy for work.

    -Civic Engagement Program: Increase civic participation in the community through non-partisan voter registration and mobilization efforts. 

    -Cyriac D. Kappil Legal Clinic: Monthly clinic that provides pro-bono legal services.
