    The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) serves as the Department of Education’s liaison to elected officials at all levels of government. This includes managing and maintaining relationships between the DOE and the New York City Council, New York City Borough Presidents, Public Advocate, and City Comptroller. The OPA also represents the DOE in the New York State Assembly, New York State Senate, Governor’s Office, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and the White House. Additionally, the OPA coordinates education policy with the Mayor’s Office and other City agencies.
