  • About Us

The Band of Parents is a member based organization (mostly parents of children with Neuroblastoma) with the goal of funding new therapies for neuroblastoma, a rare and deadly cancer that only strikes children. We are the largest funder of Neuroblastoma research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. We also fund research and projects at other institutions in and outside of New York. Our mission is to seek projects that have already been examined in the lab and are in need of assistance to rapidly move into a patient population within 12-24 months of funding. Cancer is an isolating disease for anyone, but as families we have banded together because together we are stronger and neuroblastoma is not something to face alone. Thus we support each other in other ways as well.
