Salary & Benefits: $55,000 to $65,000. Schedule: Generally Monday through Friday. Work days and hours may shift depending on scheduling needs, some weekend and evening hours may be required, and must be flexible; typical schedule will be 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This position is classified as a hybrid role with a minimum of 4 days onsite per week, with Thursdays as a staff-wide in-office day.
Summary: The Youth Prevention Training Coordinator will support the implementation of the Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant program in New York City. The Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of LGBT affirming substance use prevention provider training and workshops both at The Center and in community settings. This role will seek to increase the capacity of prevention providers and Department of Education staff across the city to provide LGBT affirming prevention services to decrease health disparities, and decrease substance use, suicide risk, and associated risk behaviors with a focus on youth and young adults utilizing a race and gender equity lens.
