    Description

Job Description: Be a community builder by supporting active communication and relationship growth across our diverse stakeholder groups and activities. Represent the organization in interactions with 390+ members, ten regional chapters, supporters, allies, and the greater PHN community.

About Us: We are a national nonprofit that provides high-performance Passive House building training and resources, including symposiums, membership, and knowledge networking, to professionals, owners, builders, policymakers, and other stakeholders across the US. We transform how stakeholders think and work with buildings - to reliably produce new and renovated buildings that use dramatically less energy for effective and affordable climate action.

About the Role: You will communicate, coordinate, and interact with a wide array of professionals, owners, manufacturers, and policymakers working at the cutting edge of building sustainability across the US and worldwide. Among the responsibilities of the role are:

    • Membership & Chapters: Manage member and chapter support, including communications, renewals & new enrollments, maintaining meetings systems, communications & networking, and monthly online events.
    • Oversee and develop special projects, including Passive House to the People and our PHN mentorship program.
    • Allies: Help manage our relationship with various sustainability allies focused on issues from climate justice and embodied carbon to energy efficiency policy.
    • Supporters: Help manage our relationship with sponsors.
    • Events: Help manage our events, including specialized symposiums.
    • You will work directly with the PHN Executive Director, other PHN Managers, and PHN Board Members, including participating in a dedicated committee as a valuable team member.

Work remotely, 40 hours per week.

    Qualifications:

    • Passionate about building sustainability and climate action.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse communities.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
    • Knowledge of G Suite, Zoom, Hubspot, Social Media Platforms, Canva, Slack, and WordPress. Tech-savviness is a huge plus.
    • Experience with community development, communications, nonprofit development, or related fields. A background in sustainable design and construction or an active interest in them is a plus. Career changers are welcome to apply.
