Summary:
The Philadelphia Worker Organizer will be a part of One PA's organizing department and will work with a team of organizers in Southeastern PA. The ideal candidate will have experience in a working class, base-building organization carrying out membership recruitment. They will have an understanding of systemic inequities, a commitment to social justice, and relevant lived experience. They will have a collaborative spirit and work with the other departments at One PA. Because no single candidate will meet all of the qualifications, we are willing to train those who show promise and encourage you to apply.

Access to and operating a car is required. Willingness to travel and the ability to competently navigate the city is required. Occasional opportunities to travel across the state or country for training or with members can be reasonably expected. One Pennsylvania provides mileage reimbursement at the Federal rate, per diem and lodging when working away from home. Ability to work hours exceeding stated office hours to get the job done; ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary. Physical requirements include walking outdoors year round for multiple hours at a time, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. The position will be based in Philadelphia and will be a hybrid work environment.
Salary:
Compensation for this position is between $48,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience.

This position is hybrid, and reports out of Philadelphia.
