    BRAC USA staff work in a remote-first environment that includes both in-office and remote work arrangements. This position will be based in the Northeast, with a preference for candidates located in the DC or New York area.

    About the Position

    BRAC USA seeks a highly motivated and entrepreneurial candidate to join our team.

    Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Senior Associate will work as an integral part of a small but highly effective team in support of the growth of BRAC USA and its efforts to advance BRAC’s poverty alleviation programs. They will work closely with senior management and provide high-level administrative support, specifically with prospect, donor, and stakeholder relationships through meeting preparation, meeting follow-up, written correspondence, management of professional calendar, engagement tracker, to-do list, and external email account.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Donor Prospecting, Cultivation and Relationship Management

    • Conducting in-depth research on new and prospective individual donors, family foundations, and select institutional and high net worth donors; synthesizing information into meeting briefs and other materials.
    • Draft, edit, and design donor-facing materials including reports and concept notes, letters of intent, grant letters, online campaigns, and proposals for select individual or institutional relationships, ensuring accuracy and alignment with fundraising objectives.
    • Drafting targeted solicitation emails for priority prospects, Board members, and key stakeholders, employing persuasive language and strategic messaging to maximize engagement and support.
    • Conduct email and phone stewardship outreach to select individual donors, new donors, and prospects in support of specific donor/prospect “moves” throughout the year.
    • Schedule donor meetings and coordinate preparatory meetings in advance of key interactions.
    • Draft external introductory, thank you, and follow up communications.
    • Participate in select external calls and meetings, taking detailed notes to be shared out as well as proactively write and capture meeting debriefs for knowledge management.
    • Provide logistical and planning support for donor cultivation and stewardship trips and events, including dinners, receptions, relevant speaking engagements, and occasional donor trips to BRAC’s operational countries. Help with event and travel logistics, including scheduling, list management, invitation preparation and delivery, materials development, event briefing documents, debriefings, and oversight of next actions.
    • Reviewing the design and layout of materials written by other team members to ensure professional presentation and alignment with organizational standards.
    • Support logistical details and planning for partner engagement events, activities, and trips.
    • Manage select follow-up action items to ensure progress along the donor pipeline and independently handle specific tasks as needed.
    • Lead internal team meetings as assigned.

    Team & Development Operations Assistance

    • Maintain and update contact details and documentation in Salesforce and create and run reports as needed.
    • Provide support for Salesforce optimization projects and manage select donor journeys in Salesforce.
    • Support team to prepare data for potential global Salesforce migration.
    • Capture team’s project tasks and timelines, in part by using project management tools like Asana and Notion.
    • Monitor and record engagements and donor/prospect metrics for each fiscal quarter.
    • Maintain bandwidth and anticipate additional work hours for specific times of year, such as at year-end, before and after domestic and international meetings and events, and before and after UNGA and board meetings.
    • Manage a professional calendar and coordinate directly with external contacts to schedule calls and meetings.
    • Coordinate document preparation, including inserting e-signatures and ensuring timely execution.

    • Facilitate excellent internal relations, staff coordination, and communication; collaborate closely with the Communications and Finance & Administration teams.
    • Support the planning and execution of partner engagement activities and internal team meetings.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.
    • At least two years of work experience (e.g., part- or full-time, work-study, internships).
    • Previous experience working directly with partners, such as corporate and family foundations, and working directly with senior leadership preferred.
    • Experience with research or grant proposal writing.
    • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
    • Proficient with Salesforce.
    • Experience with CRM platforms and databases such as iWave and Foundation Center preferred and project management tools such as Asana and Notion.
