    Job Overview

    The Concern for Animals Outreach and Events Coordinator plays a vital role in shaping a brighter future for animals by developing, implementing, and overseeing impactful outreach and fundraising initiatives that elevate the organization’s visibility, promote community engagement, and strengthen our donor base. This position involves actively participating in outreach efforts, coordinating meaningful events, managing inspiring communications, and forging powerful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

    Responsibilities & Duties

    • Develop and implement outreach calendar and plans
    • Coordinate and manage outreach events and activities
    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
    • Create and distribute outreach materials such as brochures, flyers, and newsletters
    • Utilize social media platforms to enhance outreach efforts
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach campaigns
    • Prepare and present outreach reports to management
    • Identify and engage with potential donors and volunteers
    • Respond to inquiries from the public and provide information about programs and services
    • Manage fundraising events
    • Assist with client phone calls and drop-ins.
    • Opening & closing the office.
    • Maintain office organization and cleanliness.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field or equivalent work experience
    • Experience in outreach, community engagement, event management or public relations
    • Proficiency with social media and digital marketing tools
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Experience working with diverse populations
    • Knowledge of the organization's mission and programs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
    • Optimistic can-do approach to problem solving and teamwork
    • Ability to lift to 70lbs
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to create and manage outreach materials
    • Experience planning and coordinating events
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Salesforce and other relevant software
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to analyze data and evaluate outreach efforts
    • Familiarity with the community or target audience
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations

    This position is part-time hourly for up to 20 hours a week (except during events, when hours may exceed 20 hours). The hourly rate is $17 - $25/hour DOQ. We offer PTO and paid holidays.
