    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Data & Program Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data systems, instructional impact, and program execution. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our tutoring programs and mobile reading clinic runs smoothly, effectively, and with measurable outcomes.

    The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of instructional practice and classroom management, combined with the ability to manage logistics, analyze data, and collaborate with community partners, tutors, and internal teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Coordination

    • Coordinate the daily operations of the mobile reading clinic across multiple school and community sites in the Norfolk, VA area
    • Develop and manage project plans, calendars, and systems to ensure timely delivery of services
    • Collaborate with community partners to align tutoring services with student needs and schedules
    • Contribute to growing the pipeline of prospective community partners
    • Create and manage a system for tracking community partners and growing the pipeline or prospective partners

    Data Operations

    • Maintain and optimize systems for tracking student progress, program attendance, and tutoring sessions (e.g., CRM, Excel, Google Sheets, or education-specific data platforms)
    • Analyze program data to assess impact and inform operational adjustments for the mobile literacy clinic
    • Produce regular reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Collaborate with the program and curriculum teams to ensure data collection aligns with instructional goals

    Qualifications

    • Based in or near Norfolk, VA, with the ability to travel to school and community sites in the region.
    • 2+ years of experience in tutoring program delivery, instructional coaching, or managing mobile/field-based programs
    • Strong family and community engagement skills
    • Strong understanding of literacy instruction and classroom management strategies
    • Proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, data dashboards, CRM platforms)
    • Proficiency with digital platforms and virtual learning tools
    • Strong organization and cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
    • Bonus: Experience in education ideally with classroom teaching and/or program coordination responsibilities
