    Chief Growth Officer

    Reports To:

    ONE Wake Lead Organizer / Executive Director

    Job Summary

    The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for spearheading ONE Wake's growth initiatives through leadership development, strategic communication, and fundraising. The CGO plays a pivotal role in fostering leadership, advancing organizational priorities, and building financial sustainability for ONE Wake's mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    Fundraising (30%)

    Grant Writing: Research, develop, and submit grant proposals to private foundations, aligning with ONE Wake's strategic priorities.

    Donor Campaigns: Design and implement an annual individual donor campaign to expand the organization’s funding base.

    Fundraising Goals: Approximately $200,000–$250,000 annually from private foundation grants, $50,000 individual donations (year one).

    Learning and Leadership Development (30%)

    Curriculum Development: Design an annual leadership development curriculum and course schedule in alignment with ONE Wake’s strategic plan, in partnership with the Lead Organizer.

    Leadership Development: Track learning paths for emerging leaders to ensure progression from tertiary to primary leadership roles. Collaborate with organizers to recruit leaders for relevant training opportunities.

    Training Session Organization: Oversee all logistical aspects of training sessions, including registration, communications, and follow-up activities. Sessions include IAF University, Three-Day Training, and ad hoc sessions.

    Strategic Communication (30%)

    Digital Communication: Manage email campaigns, social media, and website content to enhance stakeholder engagement and brand awareness.

    Media Relations: Build and sustain media relationships to ensure coverage of ONE Wake’s key actions, accomplishments, and initiatives.

    Client Relationship Management (CRM) Database (10%)

    Data Management: Ensure accurate tracking and recording of participant engagement in the CRM database.

    Data Entry Oversight: Coordinate with contract data entry personnel, ensuring timely and accurate submission of sign-in sheets and monitoring performance.

    Other Duties as Needs May Arise

    Minimum Qualifications

    3-5 years experience in fundraising, including grant writing and donor campaign management.

    Demonstrated ability to raise approximately $200,000–$250,000 annually from private foundation grants.

    Demonstrated ability to organize and implement individual donor campaigns.

    Bachelor’s degree, or combination of relevant education and work experience, required.

    Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Strong skills in strategic communication and media relations.

    Demonstrated ability to design and implement leadership development programs.

    Familiarity with CRM systems (Nationbuilder, EveryAction) and data management best practices.

    Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
