LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

Angels Unaware, Inc was founded in 1992 and incorporated in 1994 under the State of New York. Angel Unaware was founded as a human services agency dedicated to the ideals of a quality life for individuals with special needs who have Intellectual/Developmental disabilities.

We are committed to strengthening family functions through helping individuals to find opportunities to become more productive, thereby enabling them to contribute to their surrounding community. The process will include teaching and assisting parents to be the best advocates that they can be for children and adults with multi-handicapping conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise daily operations of the program and direct support staff, ensuring high-quality care and service delivery.
• Ensure continuity of care and facilitate individualized service planning in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Train and guide staff on day habilitation activities, policies, and program objectives.
• Respond to emergencies with flexibility in time and responsibilities.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Administration regarding conflict resolution, staff coverage, crisis intervention, incident reporting, and staff debriefings.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• 3–5 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• 3–5 years of OPWDD experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination).
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid NYS driver’s license is a plus.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff effectively.
• Physical capability to support individuals in daily living activities (including lifting, mobility, and stair navigation).
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and knowledge of day habilitation procedures and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000 per year
