    Description

    The Director of Programs is a key senior position within EEE, working with the Co-Executive Directors to

    set the vision for programs, develop program concepts and content, and ensure a high level of program

    implementation. This individual will play a central role in achieving EEE’s mission by ensuring near and

    long-term outcomes with multiple audiences and stakeholders.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Oversee the success of experiences and programs, providing oversight on budget, scheduling,

    staffing and execution of all programs.

    Manage the execution of adult programs, including Chef Night, Culinary Curiosities, corporate

    team builders, etc.

    Supervise Programs Manager, establishing annual goals and objectives, providing ongoing

    feedback and conducting annual performance reviews.

    Supervise Garden Manager, ensuring that the planting and harvesting calendar is aligned with the

    program plan, establishing annual goals and objectives, providing ongoing feedback and

    conducting annual performance reviews.

    Provide project management and day-to-day oversight for new program development, including

    community change-maker programs and events.

    For each program, articulate a theory of change, establish clear evaluation criteria to measure

    outcomes, and use collected data to improve program effectiveness.

    Work with the development team to identify funding needed to support programs, support

    fundraising efforts, and provide accurate reporting as required by partners and funders.

    Work with the marketing team to promote programs in order to maximize participation.

    Represent the organization to diverse stakeholders, including board of directors, program

    partners, community leaders and like-minded organizations.

    Serve on EEE’s executive team, taking part in decision making for the organization as a whole

    (programs, marketing, fundraising, administration etc.)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Highly motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual with a passion for issues of local food

    systems.

    Demonstrated interest and /or experience in culinary arts and/or urban agriculture.

    Teaching experience in the culinary arts and / or urban agriculture.

    Five years or more of experience in the areas of program development, project management or a

    relevant combination of experience and education.

    Ability to help plan annual budgets and track ongoing expenditures.

    Ability to manage staff, volunteer, and other team members who are not direct reports.

    Ability to manage large workload, with attention to setting priorities, task planning, meeting

    deadlines and detail.

    Strong interpersonal skills, using positive influence and persuasion to succeed with team,

    partners, donors and other stakeholders.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Self-motivated, excellent communications skills and leadership abilities.

    Bachelor’s Degree required.
