    Description

    Development and Operations Associate

    Project Morry is a comprehensive, year-round youth development organization dedicated to empowering children from under-resourced communities to create a positive future. Our ten-year commitment to each child closes the opportunity gap through a combination of academic enrichment and support, leadership development, and an exceptional summer camp experience.

    Position

    The Development and Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting development, marketing, and office operations for Project Morry to ensure smooth daily operations, provide timely and accurate up-to-date reporting/data to the fund development and marketing functions, and provide connectivity across fund development and office operations.

    Development

    • Perform monthly funding reconciliation with the bookkeeper to ensure accurate funding records and reporting.
    • Complete donation deposits and process gifts of stock, and prepare deposit reports.
    • Support Fund Development team as needed with invoicing for donation pledges, processing of credit card transactions, and related data entry and reporting.
    • Work to acquire new donors through identification and prospect research.
    • Provide research, support materials, talking points, and managing logistics for donor meetings and site visits as needed.

    Database Management

    • Enter all check deposits into Salesforce and run weekly deposit reports.
    • Send all corresponding thank you letters for donations that have been received.
    • Ensure all data and contacts are up to date in Salesforce.
    • Run mailing lists for different direct mail appeals.
    • Create segmented lists to identify and manage specific channels.
    • Pull any reports needed to support the fund development team.
    • Enter all pledges for major donors and board members on an annual basis into Salesforce.
    • Conduct bi-weekly revenue reports for annual benefit and spring into summer events.

    Marketing

    • Assist with social media engagement, content, and tracking analytics.
    • Support creation and printing of marketing materials.
    • Organize, upload, and archive photos.

    Office Operations & Support

    • Manage office supplies and equipment.
    • Manage special projects for Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director, and Director of Development upon request.

    Qualifications

    • Able to think strategically and analytically.
    • Able to execute a variety of tasks with flexibility and clear communication.
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Able to work with a diverse community of people in a variety of settings, always maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
    • Bachelor's degree and prior work experience in an administrative setting required.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

    Hours and Compensation

    This is a full-time position. Compensation is between $45k-$55k, dependent upon experience. Benefits include 20 personal days, 8 sick days, 12 paid holidays, and a 2 week paid break in December.

    Work location is currently hybrid with 2 days in the Port Chester, NY office required.
