    Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MERL Reporting Analyst based in the USA to join our team. The MERL Reporting Analyst will be responsible for synthesizing information, analyzing data, and preparing reports to support evidence-based decision-making and organizational learning. Reporting to the MERL Director, this role will play a crucial part in communicating programmatic impact and insights to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, analytical abilities, and a keen attention to detail. Project Overview:

Through scale-up of the HER Lab Model, a consortium of partners led by Global Give Back Circle will implement programming designed to increase participation in dignified and fulfilling work for young women in rural Kenya.

The Global Give Back Circle HER Lab Model is a holistic economic empowerment, skills development, and poverty alleviation project targeting Kenya’s most marginalized adolescent girls and young women through a holistic workforce readiness and entrepreneurship program. By promoting both workforce/entrepreneurship skills development and personal development, the HER Lab model is a structured pathway to dignified and fulfilling work – and to empowering girls and young women to become advocates, tell their stories, become leaders, and nurture the next generation.

This project is unique in its scope and reach: it reaches Kenya’s most marginalized girls and young women and provides more holistic and comprehensive programming than other similar projects. This position is a chance for candidates to engage in novel, unique, cutting-edge program implementation in gender empowerment.

This position will contribute to the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning team, whose overall program contributions involve program monitoring and tracking, internal and external reporting, continuous learning and evidence-based program improvement, participant engagement, and stakeholder engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Information Synthesis:
      • Work closely with USA-based and Kenya-based team to design data collection tools, and review and synthesize data from various sources, including program reports, evaluations, surveys, and qualitative assessments.
      • Collaborate to analyze and interpret information to identify key findings, trends, and insights related to program impact, outcomes, and effectiveness.
      • Ensure that synthesized information is accurate, comprehensive, and presented in a clear and concise manner.
    2. Report Writing:
      • Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and presentations that effectively communicate programmatic achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
      • Write clear and compelling narratives that highlight program impact, outcomes, and successes, incorporating data-driven evidence and qualitative insights.
      • Collaborate with the MERL Director and other team members to tailor reports to specific audiences and objectives.
    3. Data Analysis Support:
      • Assist in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to inform report writing and synthesis efforts.
      • Work closely with the MERL team to interpret data findings and ensure their accurate representation in reports.
      • Generate data visualizations and graphics to enhance the presentation of key findings and insights.
    4. Quality Assurance and Timeliness:
      • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of reports through thorough review and editing processes.
      • Adhere to established reporting timelines and deadlines, coordinating with the MERL team to meet deliverables.
      • Conduct quality checks and validation procedures to maintain data integrity and reliability.
    5. Support Organizational Development:
      • Collaborate with MERL team and other team members to ensure that new grants and funding applications are evidence-based

    Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or Master's degree + 2 years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences, communications). Experience should be in report writing, data analysis, or related roles, preferably in the context of international development and gender programming.
      • Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
      • Excellent analytical abilities, with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.
      • Proficiency in data visualization tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, R).
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
      • Eligibility to work in the USA.
