    Position Title: Navigators Manager

    FLSA Status: FULL TIME, Exempt

    Department: Frances Martinez Human Services Department

    Reports to: Marcos Martinez, Human Service Director

    Pay Range: $79,000 -$81,000

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Navigation Manager directly supervises a team of eight program staff, comprising a Government Benefits Navigator, Health Equity Navigator, two Connect Care Coordinators, Food

    Bank Community Connector, Tenant Navigator, and two Reception/Information Specialists. The Navigation Manager will train and assist with the hiring process for new staff. Oversee accurate tracking of participant metrics, contract compliance, and program activities. Build and maintain partnerships with organizations, attend meetings with stakeholders, and collaborate on a regional and national level. Prepare reports for the Board of Directors and manage program data in Salesforce on a monthly basis. Prepare quarterly and annual reports and manage data in various external systems. Train and provide direct support to volunteers.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Provide direct supervision to eight (8) program staff which include One (1) Government Benefits Navigator, One (1) Health Equity Navigator, Two (2 ) Connect Care Coordinator, One (1) Community Connector, One (1) Tenant Navigator, Two (2) Reception/Information Specialists.
    • Conduct ongoing training sessions to empower and engage Navigation Team, while also monitoring their mental and emotional well-being to prevent burnout.
    • Ensure staff are up to date with all of El Centro de la Raza’s internal programs and all partner organizations programs to provide accurate information to the community.
    • Prepare monthly invoices from data from the fiscal department and navigation team, communicate it effectively and send to various program monitors.
    • Review each contract to be an expert on what is needed in order to ensure compliance and reporting.
    • Oversee accurate tracking of participant impact measures, contract compliance, attendance, program hours, and activities during program enrollment.
    • Establish and nurture partnerships with other organizations on a weekly basis, attend various meetings with stakeholders and various coalitions throughout King County, Washington, and Nationwide. Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) meetings and other new opportunities for services/funding.
    • Prepares for and represents the organization at various workshops, panels, and other opportunities to present on the needs of the Latino Community and present on the history, mission, services, and projects of El Centro de la Raza.
    • Assists grant writer with program descriptions and services as well as send over grant opportunities when available.
    • Attend weekly, biweekly, and/or monthly meetings with Human Services Director, Program Monitors, Partner Organizations, and Department Staff.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each staff member to provide consistent staff development, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Prepare and review program reports, monthly narratives, success stories, and performance reports for the Board of Directors.
    • Elevate and respond to emerging and critical community issues – advise and seek direction Human Services Director.
    • Responsible for the hiring of open positions within the department in conjunction with Human Services Director.
    • Ensure accuracy in staff time sheets and approve any revisions necessary.
    • Refer eligible participants to Navigation Team for follow up one on one support.
    • Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports for multiple grants, including end-of-year demographics and site visits.
    • Train and supervise volunteers, ensuring their contributions align with meaningful work and documenting their hours and providing support.
    • Maintain Salesforce database with program data monthly.
    • Assist the Navigation Team in creating and executing a culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach strategy, targeting King County community members, El Centro de la Raza’s current participants, Plaza Roberto Maestas and El Patio residents.
    • Review each rental assistance application and gift card intake form to ensure all information is accurate.
    • Help coordinate, plan, and facilitate workshops provided by Navigation staff addressing key community needs such as employment, affordable housing, financial literacy, transportation, nutrition, discrimination, healthcare access, childcare, education, and more.
    • Ensure effective dissemination of information within the team, maintain a high level of response and outcomes.
    • Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    SKILLS/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

    • Must be able to work with participants from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
    • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural setting.
    • Must always perform in a professional manner.
    • Ability to work with people at all levels in the organization.
    • Must be able to maintain confidence and handle highly confidential materials.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
    • Must be detail-oriented and have well-defined organizational skills.
    • Open to developing new areas of services.
    • Monitor Paycom, approvals of times sheets.
    • Bilingual Spanish/English both written and oral fluency.
    • B.A. Degree and social service experience.
    • Leadership experience in social services.
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with Latino community and/or diverse communities.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as the position requires.
    • Must have a Washington State Driver’s License, vehicle, and proof of insurability.
    • Ability to understand overall agency operations.
    • Excellent computer skills, including excel.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Works in a general office environment at EL Centro de la Raza. Works a minimum of 40 hours per week.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
    • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
    • Ability to operate telephone, desktop, or laptop computer.
    • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.

    NOTES AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    The above duties or working procedures describe the chief function of the job and are not considered to be a detailed description of every duty of the job. Position requires a 6-month evaluation period.

    • 12 days of sick/safe pay time each calendar year (accrued by pay period); eligible to take accrued leave after 90 days of employment.
    • 15 days of vacation accrued by pay period; start accruing upon hire; eligible to take after 6
    • months of employment plus a floating holiday and birthday off.
    • 9 days of paid holidays + 5 days paid time off during the last week of December.
