Development Manager

Location: Preferably Panajachel, Guatemala but applications to work remotely will be considered.
Position Overview
The Development Manager works closely with the Development Director to steward individual and corporate donor engagement and solicitation and the organization’s two annual fundraising galas. The position reports into and works closely with the organization’s Development Director. This role is responsible for helping meet annual fundraising benchmarks via galas, appeals and other forms of solicitation. The role relationship manages a set of donors and works closely with the Development Director to meet fundraising goals around our two annual galas via supporting work with host committee members and honorees, direct outreach to a set of prospective attendees, and by managing gala logistics.
Mercado Global seeks a Development Manager who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to help expand a cutting-edge model for fighting poverty and empowering women in rural Latin America. He/she/they should have strong self-initiative and leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills, good attention to detail, experience in relationship management and project or events management, and a passion for our mission and work.
This position is preferably based at our field office in Panajachel, Guatemala but applications to work remotely will be considered, and reports directly to the Development Director.
