    Description

    BASIC FUNCTION: Summarize position's purpose.

    Will be responsible for greeting all visitors/clients to the Agency. Answer all incoming calls in a professional, timely manner and take clear, accurate messages. Be able to assist Spanish speaking, and hearing-impaired visitors, clients and callers, by directing them to the appropriate staff. Assisting staff or consumers with PA needs.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES: Describe responsibilities and tasks.

    • Answer all incoming calls, direct callers to appropriate staff person or their voice mail, and/or take clear message(s)
    • Greet all persons coming into the agency
    • Accept in-coming mail, and notify Development that the mail has arrived, when they are done, sort department mail within the department
    • Assist staff in special mailing projects (collating, folding, and stuffing envelopes), as needed
    • Directing consumers to appropriate meeting space at correct time
    • Assist staff and consumers with restroom breaks, eating or moving;
    • Assist staff with internal meetings
    • Potentially assist staff with external meetings or rally
    • Assists in getting supplies for staff
    • Assists in getting pop and chips for staff for internal meetings
    • Complete other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Minimum educational background required.

    Computer knowledge desired. Experience helping people with disabilities. Bilingual-Spanish strongly preferred.

    EXPERIENCE: Length of time required to develop skills for acceptable performance

    Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or other administrative support capacity and experience as personal assistant helping people with disabilities.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Nature and extend of standing, stooping, lifting and walking.

    Able to assist clients and visitors.

    EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

    All Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Identify work area and any of its unpleasant elements.

    Access Living uses shared office space.

    $50,000 - $53,000 Annually
