    Bethany House Services is dedicated to providing safe and supportive environments for families in need. We strive to empower our shelter residents with the resources and support necessary to achieve stability and independence.

    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Residential Shelter Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our family shelter. This role is integral to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for residents and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential shelter, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
    • Supervise and support shelter staff, including on-boarding, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery to shelter residents.
    • Coordinate with external partners and service providers to enhance shelter support services.
    • Monitor budget and expenditures, ensuring financial efficiency.
    • Handle emergencies and incidents with appropriate decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on shelter operations and resident outcomes.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere within the shelter.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shelter management or a related field.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
    • Knowledge of local housing, social services, and community resources.
    • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
