    Description

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Program Specialist supports New Futures, the Education Center, Case Management, Family Resource Center and Parent Child Plus programming through data collection, analysis, and reporting to support family and student outcomes. The Program Specialist will also support the development of internal systems to improve communication and shared successes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Development and Administration

    • Support staff, programming, and communication through data collection and entry
    • Provide data analysis for reporting and grant writing
    • Support Program Director with Prepare grant reports, stakeholder presentations, and both internal/external data sharing.
    • Establish and follow schedules and processes for regular collection and exchange of data and information regarding programs families and students.
    • Ensure that data and evaluation outcomes are regularly shared with stakeholders and accessible to diverse audiences.
    • Ensure that the programs meet goals and are aligned with Southwest Youth and Family Services’ mission and philosophy.
    • Able to work at multiple sites and travel between them during a workday
    • Understand and support the data collection, analysis, and reporting processes of all SWYFS programs within the AWARDS database

    Leadership and Partnership Development

    • Establish positive relationships with relevant Highline and Seattle Public Schools staff at district office and schools (counselors, teachers, principals, community liaisons, data and evaluation staff, etc.) and communicate regularly about participants’ strengths and needs.
    • Participate in Southwest Youth and Family Services meetings and organizational initiatives.
    • Effectively communicate (written and orally) with staff and community partners.
    • Support all site activities and events through participation and attendance.

    Level of Language Proficiency
