    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance Writer to create engaging informational articles tailored for a 4th to 12th grade audience. This on-demand contractor role requires 0-10 hours per month, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule. Writers will produce articles ranging from 900 to 1100 words, aimed at enhancing students' understanding of various topics while aligning with a Lexile measure of 800 to 1200.

    In this role, you will be tasked with writing science-based articles that introduce key concepts for specific units, such as climate change or the water cycle. You may also develop informational texts that provide context and background for historical events or social studies topics.

    Tasks may also include the creation of mentor texts for student writing tasks, producing strong examples for both informational and argumentative writing. These mentor texts will serve as valuable resources for students to analyze and learn from, helping them to develop their own writing skills.

    Ideal candidates will have a strong background in writing, particularly in educational content, and the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and relatable manner. Strong research skills and the capability to meet deadlines are essential.
