    Position Summary

    The Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of GLIDE’s Recovery Services. This position is responsible for providing program leadership, management and coordination in the implementation, evaluation, and development of programming to ensure high quality client service. The Program Manager will collaborate with the Senior Leadership in areas of fiscal management, daily operations, staff supervision, and program planning; and collaborate with the Senior Clinical Director in areas of curriculum development, service planning, staff development, and program evaluation. This position will also work closely with internal stakeholders in fundraising, evaluation, communications, policy, and operations to achieve program stability and sustainability. This position will also help maintain critical external stakeholder relationships to support program and client success such as referral linkages to other community providers, City departments, etc.

    This person must be able to periodically work non-traditional hours (nights, holidays, and weekends). This role is primarily on-site, with the option to work from home one day per week.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Directly supervise Recovery Services staff, interns, and volunteers and oversee the daily operations of the Recovery Services to include intake and assessment, drop-in support groups, support groups, individual counseling, crisis intervention, case management, outreach, social activities, field trips, and other activities for healing, connection, transition, empowerment, and community.
    • Oversee the daily operations of Recovery Services to include intake and assessment, Stage 1 and Stage 2 recovery groups, violence intervention groups, wellness groups, case management, and community-building activities (i.e., outreach activities);
    • Oversee the facilitation of groups and programming to create an ongoing pipeline of qualified peer facilitators for MIP;
    • Work collaboratively with the Senior Clinical Director to provide staff with clinical supervision and tools (e.g. training) to deliver comprehensive, client-centered services;
    • Create and achieve short and long-term goals for Recovery Services as outlined in programs’ logic models and to achieve contract and funding program/service deliverables;
    • Consistently provide staff with individual supervision, coaching, and program evaluation through one-on-one meetings;
    • Priority in holding regular weekly team meetings to allow opportunities for accountability, team building, collaboration on programs’ operations, and regular communication regarding client care and upcoming program needs;
    • Manage individual programs’ budgets to ensure fiscally responsible allocation and spending of resources, collaborate with Finance on timely and accurate invoicing, and complete spend down of projects/contracts;
    • Create, document, and implement program policies and procedures to ensure alignment with GLIDE operations and values, and compliance with HIPPA, government funding and legislative requirements;
    • Collaborate and partner with GLIDE Health Access and GLIDE Women, Children, Family Divisions to develop and maintain an integrated and coordinated referral and support system for clients, in particular, the substance use treatment options offered through GLIDE Health Access to enable the broadest supportive options available to the community;
    • Work with Fund Development and MarComms to promote the visibility, successes, and ongoing needs of programs for fundraising, impact reporting, and program promotion;
    • Ensure compliance and project completion of government contracts including accurate and timely reporting, staff training, achievement of deliverables, and policies and procedures;
    • Develop, cultivate, and maintain positive community partnerships to strengthen resource linkages for agency and clients;
    • Represent GLIDE and attend required City meetings (e.g. quarterly San Francisco Adult Probation Department certified batterers’ intervention program provider meeting, monthly Rafiki collaboration meetings, etc.);
    • Maintain GLIDE’s certification where required (i.e. batterers’ intervention program (BIP) certification with the San Francisco Adult Probation Department).

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in social work; and/or RADT-II or CADC II certification is required;
    • Substance Use Disorder Counselor Certification is required
    • 3+ years' experience supervising a small team and managing program services.
    • Exceptionally strong communication skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive, emotionally charged situations with tact and diplomacy.
    • Must be knowledgeable of trauma-informed care and practices and have strong analytical and project management skills.
    • Knowledge of coordinated community response model and lethality assessment for batterer intervention programs.
    • Experience with victim advocacy. Possesses an understanding of clients’ community and psycho-social and economic issues that impact clients.
    • Group facilitation knowledge and experience are required, as is experience in developing and leading educational and activity groups for adults.
    • Must understand and follow basic ethics, values, and principles of social services regulatory practices.
    • Knowledge of community resources for providing assistance to underserved and under-resourced populations.
    • Batterer’s Intervention Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
    • Strong computer proficiency with MS Office suite. Intermediate skills in Excel;
    • Experience with database management. Salesforce experience a plus, but not required. EHR experience is helpful, but not required.
