At Liberty Community Land Trust, we're redefining community empowerment through

innovative and collaborative real estate development. Join us in shaping a world where

community ownership and justice pave the way for a more equitable future.

We’re not your typical non-profit. Liberty Community Land Trust stands as land liberators,

social enterprise creators, and community-driven real estate developers. Our mission is bold –

to establish community control of land, democratize the economy, and advance racial,

economic, and climate justice through innovation, collaboration, and public policy/advocacy. We

are known for leading the most successful raise for a community-owned real estate project in

American history and developing a groundbreaking model for community ownership. We're

seeking co-creators, talented innovators and disciplined practitioners, ready to dream big and

    make an impact.

    YOUR ROLE:

As a Real Estate Associate Project Manager, you'll spearhead community-centered

development projects, from inception to completion. This is a unique opportunity to bring to life

diverse projects and directly create affordable, high-quality, sustainable community spaces. You

will not only lead critical projects, but also inspire change and growth in our community,

setting a benchmark for community-led development nationwide. You will join a culture that's

rooted in collaboration, respect, and a drive to challenge the status quo.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Master the Management of Projects: Take ownership of tasks and projects from inception to completion, skillfully planning, organizing, and guiding teams and stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed, milestones are met and objectives are achieved with precision.
    • Champion Transformative Projects: Drive affordable housing and commercial projects, aligning them with our transformative vision.
    • Foster Collaborative Success: Facilitate dynamic team and stakeholder project engagement efficiently and within budget, bringing our shared goals to life.
    • Navigate Financial Landscapes with Skill: Manage the financial landscape of our projects. Your expertise in creating/managing pro-formas and budgets, securing innovative funding options, and navigating the world of loans, tax credits, and subsidies will fuel our mission.
    • Build Teams that Build Dreams: Lead team assembly and contract management, impacting the success of our real estate ventures.
    • Ensure Excellence and Integrity: Oversee construction stages, ensuring quality, safety, and standards are met. Coordinate with property management to ensure a seamless transition to vibrant community spaces.
    • Be the Architect of Our Story: Craft project narratives, proposals and plans to inspire stakeholders and funders.
    • Be Our Voice and Ear in the Community: Represent our organization in community events and at conferences.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • A mission-driven professional with at least 3+ years of experience in real estate development.
    • At least 2 years of project management experience.
    • Holder of industry certification, Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, construction management, or a related field or relevant experience.
    • Knowledgeable and proficient in affordable housing regulations, a keen eye for detail, and passionate about creating community impact.
    • A strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Culturally competent and committed to equity, inclusivity, and community empowerment.
    • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, can lead independently, and can manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • A continuous learner seeking opportunities to enhance their professional journey.
    • Practically equipped with reliable vehicular transportation and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This exempt position offers between $58,500-70,000 per year, depending on experience, with

a flexible work schedule and a two-day per week on-site minimum. As part of our team, you'll

enjoy unique community involvement and professional growth opportunities, including

access to workshops, conferences, and community engagement initiatives. We offer a

competitive health and wellness benefits package that includes medical, paid time off, and

flexible scheduling to support your work-life balance.
