    Description

    The Red Door Project, an innovative nonprofit using the power of narrative art to bridge divides, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Development to lead our fundraising strategy and execution. This is a full-time, exempt position that will oversee the development strategy, fundraising campaigns, grant opportunities, and donor relationships. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, a creative mindset, and a deep passion for the arts in general and our mission specifically. They will add value and gain insight from a diverse team of passionate and dedicated professionals.

    Our Director of Development will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes but is not limited to:

    • Cultivating and managing donor relationships
    • Evaluating and executing grant opportunities
    • Bringing forward innovative ideas that align with our mission and vision

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 7 years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment.
    • Proven ability to secure individual gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
    • Excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of the arts sector.

    Working Conditions

    • Hybrid; work from home and Portland-based office. (must be based in Portland area)
    • Travel as required, both local and national, to meet with partners and attend conferences.
    • Occasional evening or weekend work for events or meetings.

    Compensation

    • Annual Salary: $100,000-$125,000 based on experience.
