About Us:
Jefferson Community Foundation (JCF) is an innovative and thriving community foundation serving Jefferson County, WA. Location: Port Townsend, WA (Onsite)
Position: Development Director (Full-time, Exempt).
Salary: $90,000 - $105,000/year, DOE

Your Role:
As our Development Director, you'll be a key player in cultivating donor relationships and driving our fundraising success. You'll work closely with the CEO and board to:
- Build Relationships: Cultivate and manage individual and foundation donor relationships.
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for major gifts, annual funds, and planned giving.
- Data Analysis: Analyze donor data to refine strategies and track progress.
- Pipeline Development: Strengthen the individual giving prospect pipeline.
- Communications: Craft compelling donor messaging and storytelling.
- Internal Systems: Oversee development of systems to support fundraising growth.
- Team Development: Help build the development team.
- Performance Tracking: Provide fundraising goals and reporting.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in donor relationship management (gifts $5K+).
- Experience developing fundraising strategies (major gifts, annual funds, planned giving).
- Strong data analysis skills for strategy development.
- Experience supporting/coaching others in fundraising.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to craft an inspiring case for support.
- Strong attention to detail and project coordination.
- Flexibility and teamwork spirit.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Interest in community foundation models.

Medical and dental insurance are covered at 80% by JCF through Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Employees earn 18 days of paid time off and 9 paid holidays a year.
The Jefferson Community Foundation offices are located in Port Townsend. The Development Director should expect to spend 3 or more days per week in the office and/or out in the community meeting with people. While scheduling is flexible, regular in-person presence is essential to the position's success.
