    Senior Accountant

    The Community Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. Key responsibilities include GL analysis, budget and financial statement preparation, as well as various other accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ten or more years of experience and be highly proficient in Excel. Must be very detail oriented and have strong time management skills. Experience with contract/grant accounting and/or non-profit accounting is a plus. Excellent compensation and benefits package.

    General Job Description

    The Senior Accountant will ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting practices; including the oversight of transaction recordings, account analysis and financial reporting. This position is FLSA Exempt, and reports to the Director of Accounting.

    Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

    • Create, record and post General Ledger Journal Entries;
    • Process monthly Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliations
    • Oversee and/or perform Bank Reconciliations
    • Oversee and/or process monthly revenue billings
    • Assist with Development of Budgets for the organization, programs and/or contracts
    • Monthly Financial Statement review (Actual + Forecast vs Budget)
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Alignment with TCG's values and mission;
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required;
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting;
    • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills;
    • Excellent attention to detail.
