    Description

    The Relationship Manager is responsible for organizing and processing designated corporate scholarship activities that are administered by the designated department. The Relationship Manager supports the development and implementation of a bold scholarship and leadership program for talented minorities with demonstrated financial need.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Responds to general public and scholar inquiries regarding program, award processes, and alternative scholarship opportunities.

    Facilitates and participates in award processes, including review of submitted documentation, determination of scholarship eligibility, and allocation of awards.

    Manages the upkeep and refinement of the SP operations manual.

    Manages and coordinates the implementation of renewal, confirmation, and verification processes, including the documentation of the instructional training manual.

    Assesses need, procures, trains, and supervises temporary support staff for various processes and special projects.

    Establish and maintain positive relationships with college and university Enrollment Management and Financial Aid Administrators to ensure accuracy with student verifications.

    Builds and maintains relationships with the desired result of program renewal, increases in funding opportunities and customer/client engagement.

    Assists in addressing complaints and resolving problems of program constituents.

    Respond to stakeholder (divisional staff, institutions, Grantors, Development, Scholarships and Programs, etc.) and maintain appropriate records in UNCF’s Salesforce CRM on each contact.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    May supervise one or more professional and/or administrative level staff.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university. At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of education, college counseling, and scholarship advising. Experience with financial aid administration and enrollment management required.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 Apps, Products, and Services including Excel and PowerPoint (Power desired).
    • Knowledge of information and technology associated with college financial aid matters, and organizations and agencies within the community.
    • Knowledge of theories of leadership development; ability to multi-task, ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse racial/ethnic communities.
