    Description

    National Sawdust seeks a hands-on, dynamic professional able to handle the accounting and finance needs of a fast-growing non-profit operating a world-class venue in Williamsburg:

    DUTIES

    • Manage all financial/accounting aspects of the org, in collaboration with Senior Management, outside tax/auditors, and functional directors of National Sawdust
    • Manage day-to-day fiscal needs of organization including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audits, tax preparation, cash flow management, and general accounting activities including treasury management, banking, and account reconciliations
    • Manage CRM Database ensuring data cleanliness and organization
    • Create donation receipts, acknowledgements, and fundraising campaign records
    • Manage organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets, and General Ledger within the accounting system
    • Produce monthly P&L reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Senior management, as well as the Finance Committee and Board of Directors
    • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Petty Cash
    • Manage Payroll of 17 FT and 15 PT staff employees, as well as corporate card expenses and staff reimbursement process; assist in benefits and compliance administration
    • Manage outsourced commercial liability insurance plans and health care coverage
    • Communicate directly with vendors regarding payments and services; process, prepare, and record invoices
    • Provide support for management of annual budgets and administration of monthly reviews including explanations of variances and trouble-shooting

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • FP&A, CPA (preferred)
    • Non-profit and venue/ticketing-based experience a plus
    • Quickbooks
    • Payroll systems (ADP/Paychex)
    • G Suite (Google Sheets)

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS

    • Team player who is willing to sometimes work outside of their job description and lend a helping hand when needed
    • Commercial acumen, with attention to detail, highly organized, and willingness to dive-in and learn
    • Ability to multitask while prioritizing one’s duties
    • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Love for music and the arts
