    About Pro Bono Net

Every day in this country, thousands of people face loss and adversity in critical areas of their lives because legal help is unavailable or unaffordable. We create scalable and sustainable technology solutions and partnerships that bring free, safe, high-quality legal help to millions of people.

Pro Bono Net (PBN) is the country's leading nonprofit access to justice innovator with a 25-year history of impact. Our technology solutions and partnerships enable individuals to directly access the power of the law, empower advocates and volunteers to more effectively reach and represent those in need, and equip legal, social justice and community organizations with tools and resources to grow their impact. We are building a future where the power of the law belongs to everyone.

Pro Bono Net was founded in New York City, where we continue to maintain an office, and has a deep history and programmatic footprint in New York State, and now functions as a remote-first organization leading national programs that expand access to justice across the country. Pro Bono Net is also home to Justicia Lab, an immigrant justice technology lab whose mission is to transform immigrant justice through collaboration, creativity, and technology.

    About the Role

Pro Bono Net is seeking a strategic and decisive Executive Director to help lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. They will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, the senior leadership team, and external partners to expand PBN's impact, build new revenue streams, and secure funding to propel our mission.

If you are passionate about access to justice, technology-driven innovation, and mobilizing resources to drive systemic change, we encourage you to apply.

    • Position PBN as a go-to thought leader for funders, media, and sector leaders seeking to understand the role of technology in legal access.

    Fundraising and Financial Management

    • Lead efforts to expand and diversify the organization's support base, securing multi-million dollar funding from philanthropies, law firms, corporations, and partners -- including nonprofit legal aid orgs, courts and government agencies.
    • Oversee fundraising initiatives, including donor engagement and individual giving.
    • Champion sustainability, accountability, and resource stewardship; collaborate with the CFO and CRO to ensure financial sustainability through budget development, monitoring, and financial planning.
