The Organization:
Lighthouse Foundation of Chicagoland is a Black LGBTQ+ led, multiracial social justice organization that advances justice for Black LGBTQ+ people across Chicagoland through empowerment, education, and entertainment. Since July 2019, Lighthouse Foundation has launched the nation’s first Black Queer Equity index, partnered with 24 organizations, and hosted 87 activations with 3,700 Chicagoans.
The Role
The Licensed Mental Health Contractor will report to the Senior Manager of Operations and will oversee the mental health support services at Lighthouse Foundation events. This position is responsible for attending to pertinent mental health needs of Lighthouse Foundation event attendees, as well as providing linkage to care when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing mental health services to Black Queer people, as well as marginalized and intersectional communities, de-escalation, and on the ground mental health provision.
