    Description

    The GO Project (“GO”) helps New York City public school students thrive in the earliest stages of their education through year-round academic, social-emotional, and family support. Since 1968, GO’s out-of-school time programming has equipped thousands of children with the confidence and skills needed to make academic gains, enroll in high-performing middle and high schools, graduate on time, and achieve college success. By harnessing New York’s physical, financial, and intellectual resources, GO has grown from a group of volunteers serving 30 students on the Lower East Side into a $3 million organization creating equal opportunity for more than 700 students citywide.

    The Manager of Salesforce and Systems Operations maintains GO Project’s core data management system—Salesforce which tracks client demographics, service delivery and outcomes, and donor information and fundraising outcomes. The Manager collaborates across the organization to track and manage all key data connected to program and development functions. The Manager also trains staff in data entry and generates reports and dashboards connected to evaluation efforts.

    Position Description

    The person filling this position is expected to collaborate with leadership to identify key indicators of program and fundraising success and methods to manage data and measure progress against key goals as well as overseeing how the organization collects, stores and shares information.

    Main Responsibilities Include:

    • Maintain GO Project’s existing database (Salesforce) and work with Program and Development Leadership to continue to build and enhance the platform.
    • Implement and enforce data quality best practices, including data cleaning to ensure accurate and reliable data within the Salesforce platform
    • Develop and maintain dashboards that help communicate progress toward goals for use by program and development staff to make tactical, managerial and strategic decisions.
    • Generate and provide reports on success indicators in collaboration with program and development staff as needed.
    • Recommend actions to promote continuous quality improvement in the organization's tracking and data management efforts.
    • Work with GO’s external technology support and other consultants to project management data and systems development.
    • Support staff and student onboarding onto accounts and systems. Provide relevant training and troubleshooting support.

    Qualifications

    A successful candidate has at least 3 years of experience in data management and demonstrates the following:

    • Strong data management abilities.
    • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and best practices within a nonprofit context of Development and Program Management.
    • Salesforce Administration Certification required.
    • Experience with Form Assembly, Roll Call and other integration tools is beneficial.
    • Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills.
    • Excited about supporting the design and strategy of data management systems.
    • Collaborative work style, excellent communications skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into measurable indicators.
    • Demonstrated experience building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Experience with youth development and/or educational organizations in New York City is preferred.
    • Holding an advanced degree is preferred.

    Salary and Benefits

    Salary range is $75,000 - $80,000 based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and long-term disability. GO Project provides four weeks annual paid vacation + paid holidays. Retirement plan contribution match is in effect after one year.

    Commitment

    This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and evenings for organizational programming or events. This position is hybrid, with two days in our lower Manhattan office and three days remote.
