    Position Overview:

    This role is key to launching the capital campaign, leading annual giving campaigns with a focus on donor acquisition and retention, engaging alumni through region-specific events, developing initiatives to strengthen alumni connections, and managing comprehensive communications strategies. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this role supports activities such as event planning, alumni programming, fundraising appeals, and donor stewardship. Through the campaign, this role will focus on collaborating with strategic partners, enhancing donor engagement, and building a network of dedicated supporters. We are looking for a dynamic individual who excels at multitasking and thrives within a small, collaborative team environment.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    We love the great people the PiA mission attracts, so we like to spend some days together in the office, though we also value flexibility and respect personal work styles. This is a hybrid position with three days per week based in our Princeton, NJ office and two days per week remote in your home office. We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary of $60,000 and benefits that include a 3% retirement contribution, 401(k) plan, premium-free health and dental insurance, paid time off (three weeks of vacation, sick days upon request, 10 holidays, two personal days) and an annual wellness stipend.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Fundraising: Support the Annual Giving program with a strategic focus on acquiring first-time donors, driving engagement through targeted solicitations that align with the Princeton in Asia Capital Campaign. Support specific fundraising matching challenges throughout the year to maximize participation and grow PiA’s donor community.
    • Stewardship and Donor Recognition: Create annual fund reports highlighting the impact of donor contributions and oversee donor recognition listings for the Annual Dinner.
    • Alumni Engagement: Collaborate with the program team to produce a monthly e-newsletter featuring updates on programs and events. Manage both print and digital versions of the Pacific Bridges annual alumni newsletter.
    • Events and Capital Campaign Activities: Coordinate PiA’s event calendar, including Reunions, the Annual Dinner at Princeton University, and regional events both domestically and internationally. Build and manage RSVP pages for each event to streamline attendance tracking and facilitate donor engagement.
    • Communications: Develop and distribute compelling content for PiA’s website, newsletters, social media channels, and other outreach materials to promote PiA’s mission and Capital Campaign progress. Leverage social media platforms to engage with new audiences, increase visibility, and encourage participation, while regularly reporting on engagement metrics to inform communication strategies.
    • Database Management: Oversee the Bloomerang donor database, ensuring accurate tracking of gifts, new donor activity, and engagement metrics. Utilize this data to drive donor acquisition strategies and report on Capital Campaign progress.

    Key Qualities and Skills:

    • Donor-Centric Focus: The successful applicant will understand the importance of donor acquisition and retention, especially for first-time donors, and is skilled at cultivating relationships that transform initial contributions into sustained support. They have a knack for engaging people, listening actively, and creating positive donor experiences.
    • Communication Savvy: An ideal candidate will be adept at crafting compelling narratives and messages for various channels, including social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms, to inspire donors and alumni.
    • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with donor management databases, MS Office Suite, and digital marketing tools, the applicant also should be comfortable creating and managing RSVP pages for events. The postholder will know how to track engagement metrics and is comfortable leveraging social media to reach and engage new audiences.
    • Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented: This person thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with efficiency. They are detail-oriented, ensuring that all aspects of donor engagement, from communications to data tracking, are executed to the highest standard.
    • Collaborative Team Player: While able to take the initiative and work independently, the ideal candidate values collaboration and enjoys working closely with others. They are comfortable in a small, mission-driven team and are eager to contribute to a supportive, inclusive workplace.
    • Transferable skills such as project management, relationship building, and experience with data tracking or customer service will be valuable in this role.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • A minimum of four years of experience in event planning, alumni relations, communications, or fundraising, with a strong understanding of donor acquisition and engagement strategies.
    • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Strong project management and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, donor databases, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with donors and alumni across the U.S. and Asia.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
